I definitely agree that your personality should show through on a twitter account used for business, rather than making it all about selling all of the time. That's just annoying.
So you should tweet about some different things as well, but at the same time, not about personal things. If you create two accounts, you can always post some tweets to both accounts.

I think it depends if you’re feeding in 1 or 2 posts a day or if you’re spamming in loads and loads. No problem seeing the odd blog post each day, do it myself but if you’re your entire Twitter contribution is to stick your feed from your blog on to Twitter then I think you have failed on the point of Twitter and should just not bother.

1 company that will remain nameless some days will be doing 5 blog posts in to Twitter in less than a min, quality stuff. But hey the great thing about Twitter is people can use it as they like because put simply if I don’t like it I can just un-follow them :-)

Great post - although I disagree about feeding the blog into twitter. I think this is a good thing to do, I'll tell you why..

Personally I've used twitter now for a number of years and have found myself less reliant on Google Reader - mainly because most of the blogs I read *do* feed into twitter. It notifies me easier when there is a new post and as I use an iphone app for my twittering I can click on the link and read it quicker too. I also tend to find that it leads to more people finding out about the blog.

Anyhow - I do enjoy your twitter messages so keep it up Clarke!
